Benefits of Reading - Why you should make reading a habit
If 2020 has taught us anything it’s that we must be prepared for anything and cherish what we have while we have it. If you’re one of the others whose life has changed since the pandemic, I’m sure you can relate in trying to find new comforts. Especially because some of our previous freedoms we took for granted are no longer the same.
Whether it’s wearing a mask, working from home, being an essential worker, change in socialization, travel difficulties, illness, childcare, routine cleaning/organizing increase, schooling decisions, work restructures, layoffs, and/or death navigating the pandemic or change for that matter isn’t easy.
Some change can be both positive and beneficial though if we look at the different opportunities these changes could represent for our present and future selves. One of the positive changes the pandemic has brought me personally is the opportunity to make reading a habit.
Since I've been enjoying the benefits of investing more time in reading I wanted to share that with as many people as possible through this article and a Book Club. Gathering each month over books, even if it is virtually, has improved my social needs and has allowed me to connect with others outside my current bubble.
